About FDDI- Footwear Design and Development Institute
Under the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the Government of India, the Footwear Design & Development Institute was founded in 1986 with the following key goals:
1. To foster the rapid development of the footwear sector alongside associated industries in the nation through developing human resources throughout the nation.
2. Providing and creating the necessary infrastructure for the Indian footwear industry to enabling it to reach international production standards, and;
3. to specifically encourage the expansion of export manufacturing of high-quality footwear and associated goods from the country.
The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) is among the top academic and training centers and is considered among the Top Design Colleges in India devoted to the advancement and expansion of the retail, fashion merchandise, leather products, and fashion design industries. FDDI has a presence throughout all of India with its 12 state-of-the-art campuses. In order to ensure that higher education, training, and delivery for the footwear, leather products, retail, and associated industries are done to the finest standards possible, it has state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities (complete with smart classrooms, workshops with the most up-to-date machinery and equipment, high tech IT labs, high end product development centres, international testing centers, comprehensive libraries, auditoriums & sports facilities, and on-campus hostels, among other things).

About FDDI AIST - Highlights
The Footwear Design and Development Institute will conduct the FDDI AIST Entrance Exam on the 18th of June, 2023.
The FDDI AIST will be a paper-based exam, with duration of 3 hours.
The FDDI Admission Prospectus and Online Application form has already been open and available on their portal. The Last Date of FDDI Application form submission has been extended from 30th of April to 25th of May, 2023. Last Date of fee submission is also the 25th of May, 2023.
The probable application editing window will open on the 26th of May and 27th of May, 2023.
The merit list-cum-results of the FDDI AIST Entrance Exam is supposed to be out on the 30th of June, 2023. And according, the 2nd and 3rd week of July will witness the counseling process for FDDI AIST 2023.

FDDI AIST Application Form
The FDDI will be accepting form till the 25th of May, 2023 in online mode. As per the institutes prescribed program-specific eligibility criteria, the candidates can fill out the application form in some very simple steps.
Steps to Fill the FDDI AIST 2023 Application form
To fill the FDDI AIST Application form the candidates will have to follow the below steps:
Online Registration - The candidates will first have to register themselves by creating an applicant login account.
Get Access to the Application Form – Now the candidates will have to Log in to the newly created account to get access to the application form with their generated ID & password.
Fill Out the Application Form – Now they will have to fill out the application form which will comprise of various field, like Personal Details, Academic Details. They must fill the Mandatory fields as well marked out with a star or mentioned as such.
Documents Uploading - Next step is uploading the documents as per the prescribed format as in like the softcopies in the mentioned size and format.
Application Fee Payment – Now the last and important step is paying the application fee, which can be through gateways of online payment platforms as well as netbanking, etc.

The basic eligibility criteria for FDDI AIST B.Des course program:
1. The candidate must have passed 10+2/ qualifying examinations, or
2. The candidate must have passed the School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects, or
3. The candidate must have passed an AICTE-approved 3-year full-time Diploma after Class X offered by the Board of Technical Education of any state or Union territory
Note: The candidates appearing in the current year in the board(10+2), can also apply but must fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of admission with the required documents in support.
