Hey!
IIT Bombay administers the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) to select applicants for admission to B. Des programs at IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Jabalpur. The UCEED test is held once a year in 24 places around the country at the national level.
To be considered for admission to the B. Des program at the participating institutes a candidate must meet two criteria:
The first criterion is the age limit: So to be eligible for UCEED 2023 You must have been born on or after October 1, 1998, if you are in the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category, and on or after October 1, 1993, if you are in the SC, ST, or PwD category.
The second criteria is the qualifying examination: All five subjects in the qualifying examination must be passed by the candidate (Class XII or equivalent). Those who took their qualifying test for the first time in 2021 or earlier are not eligible.
Candidates who study Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics in the Science Stream are able to apply to all five participating institutes. IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad accept candidates from any stream (science without mathematics, physics, or chemistry, commerce, arts, and humanities). Only students having Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 can apply for admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur. Students who completed their 10+2 in the arts or humanities are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions.
Hope this helps!
