ADMISSION CRITERIA OF NIFT
NIFT usually conducts an entrance exam following an interview or situation test. The exam pattern for the entrance of NIFT consists of CAT meaning Creative Aptitude Test, and GAT meaning General Ability Test which follows Group Discussion or Personal Interview. Candidates who will appear for Bachelor of Design and Masters of Design will have to appear for CAT and GAT, while those who will appear for B.FTech and M.FTech will have to appear only for GAT. Moreover, the candidates of B.Des and M.Des will be further called the Situation Test.
THE EXAM PATTERN OF NIFT
- The General Aptitude Test examination is conducted in offline mode only.
- For the candidates who will be appearing for B.Des, M.Des, and General Aptitude Test (GAT), the exam is for 2 hours.
- For the candidates appearing for B.F.Tech, MFM & M.F.Tech, the General Aptitude Test (GAT), the conduction of the exam will be of 3 hours.
- The mode of paper will be in English language only.
- For the candidates appearing for B.Des, there will be a total of 100 questions that will be asked in GAT and for M.Des 120 questions will be asked.
- For the exam of B.F.Tech, MFM & M.F.Tech there will be 150 questions.
- There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
