If you are looking to study Animation and Film Design in India, I'd look beyond just the college name and check what kind of practical work students actually get to do. Things like animation software, VFX, filmmaking, editing, cinematography and portfolio projects can make a big difference.
When I was researching options, I came across AAFT University in Raipur while comparing creative-arts programs. What caught my attention was that it covers areas connected to both media and creative production, so it can be worth looking at if you don't want to limit yourself to only one part of animation or filmmaking.
I also noticed that course titles can be a little misleading. Two colleges may both offer an animation program, but one might be much more focused on 3D/VFX while another gives more space to filmmaking and design. I made that mistake when I was comparing colleges and initially looked mostly at the course name instead of the actual syllabus.
I'd personally compare the curriculum, software training, studio facilities, student projects, faculty background, internship opportunities and recent placement information before deciding. Location and fees matter too, but the kind of work you'll actually put into your portfolio is something I'd pay close attention to.
