Yes, you can appear for NID in 2023 if you did not qualify the previous exam. The application process for NID 2023 has not yet started, but it is expected to open in early 2023. The eligibility criteria for NID 2023 are the same as for the previous exam. You must have passed or will be appearing for your higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2022–23 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities etc.) from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or equivalent. You must also be born on or after July 1, 2003.

The application process for NID 2023 will be online. You will need to create an account on the NID website and submit your application form along with the required documents. The application fee for NID 2023 is INR 1,500 (General) and INR 750 (SC/ST/PwD).

The NID entrance exam 2023 will be held in two stages: the DAT Prelims and the DAT Mains. The DAT Prelims will be a multiple-choice question paper, while the DAT Mains will be a combination of multiple-choice questions, essay questions, and a studio test.

The results of the DAT Prelims will be announced in March 2023. Candidates who qualify the DAT Prelims will be eligible to appear for the DAT Mains, which will be held in April 2023. The results of the DAT Mains will be announced in May 2023.

If you are serious about pursuing a design education at NID, I encourage you to start preparing for the NID entrance exam 2023 now. There are many resources available online and in libraries that can help you with your preparation. I wish you all the best in your journey!

CRITERIA FOR NID 2023 B.DES ELIGIBILITY

At NID, the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme lasts four years (National Institute of Design).

Every year, the NID Ahmedabad campus organises a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme in order to help young, brilliant applicants get admission to one of India's most esteemed and famous design institutions.

The National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad has added a total of 100 seats this year for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Program. For the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree, there are 15 places reserved for international applicants.

Candidates accepted into the National Institute of Design's Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree must complete an obligatory 1-year foundation programme (NID).
