WHAT IS IIAD? 

The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) is the prestigious design school situated in New Delhi, know for their design and communication courses. IIAD New Delhi was named the "Best Communication Design College in India by Asia Today” at the Asian Education Summit and Awards 2021. The courses IIAD offers such as Fashion Designing, Communication Designing, Interior Architecture and Designing, Fashion Business Management, Fashion Communication, etc.

IIAD OFFERS TOTAL 200 UNDER GRADUATION SEATS OVER FIVE COURSES SUCH AS 

  • Interior Architecture & Design
  • Fashion Design
  • Fashion Business Management
  • Fashion Communication
  • Communication Design

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA For B. Des OF IIAD 

  • To be eligible to study at IIAD, you need to complete your 10+2 degree in any stream from any board first. Or you can have 10+3 diploma to be eligibility for IIAD. 
  • And secondly, you have to appear for IIAD entrance exams. Entrance exams such as IDATIMATpersonal interviewstudio stimulation. But for B. Des candidates have to go through IDAT, PI and Studio stimulation. 

IDAT: IIAD’s Design Aptitude Test is a written test to examine candidate’s creative and visual ability, cultural awareness and logical thinking. This paper consist visual tasks, writing tasks, one-word answers and multiple choice questions. Candidates who are willing to pursue Interior and Architecture DesignFashion Designcommunication designfashion communication and fashion designing; have to go through IDAT.

Personal interview: In Personal Interview candidates will have face to face interaction with IIAD to determine their stability. IIAD will guide the candidates about how the programme meet their aspirations and interests with understanding. Candidates have to go through this step after giving IDAT for fashion design courses. 

Studio simulation: It is a workshop where eligible candidates will form small groups and create a 3D model using given materials. This assessment is to determine the skills of making, creative thinking, problem-solving & team work within candidates.
