WHAT IS IIT JEE mains paper 2? 

IIT JEE mains paper 2 comes from JEE which is conducted by IIT. IIT stands for Indian Institutes of Technology, a group of autonomous prestigious engineering and technology-oriented institution of national level. And JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination, an engineering entrance exam conducted to get admission in various Indian engineering colleges and institution. JEE conducts by the Joint seat allocation authority. There are two different types of JEE paper

  • The JEE-Main
  • The JEE-Advanced. 

There are total of 23 IIT, 31 NIT, 25 IIIT campuses and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), which take admission on the basis of JEE score.

This JEE Mains has 2 paper.

  • Paper 1 is for candidates who are willing to study B.E./B. Tech courses and
  • paper 2 is for candidates who wants to study B. Arch and B. Planning courses. 

How to apply for IIT JEE mains paper 2? 

Your first step before filling up the application form, you should checkout the eligibility criteria. If you are eligible, then only you should apply for this paper. Here is the eligibility criteria for you—

  • There is no age limit specified by NTA to sit for JEE Mains paper 2. 
  • Candidates appearing for JEE Mains Paper 2 must have Mathematics in their Class 12. Candidates must have pass their 10+2 examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subject combination.

If you think you are eligible, then only apply for the paper. Here is the steps to follow to fill up the application form—
Step1. Open the official site of JEE Main, https://jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step2. If you are fresh candidate, register yourself making your on ID and password and the log in into that ID. 
Step3. Click on the tab ‘The online JEE Main 2022 application form'. 
Step4. Start to fill up the form as per the required information. You will be asked information such as-

  • Choice of paper - 1 or 2 or both. 
  • Preferred language in which they want to appear in exam. 
  • Personal information such as name, category, father's and mother's name, etc.
  • Candidates residential and correspondence details for communication. 
  • And other details for security check. 

Step5. After every details were filled up, a tab will showup for final submission. Click on the ‘yes'.
Ste6. In Next step you have to upload scanned documents such as-

  • Photograph of Candidate ( Clearly mention your name and date   on which photo was taken)
  • Signature of Candidate
  • Signature of the father, mother, or guardian

Click on the ‘upload' button. 
Step7. The candidates have to pay the application fees in online mode through Credit Card or debit Card or Net Banking or Paytm or UP.
Step8. Successful payment will lead you to the confirmation page. Here you have to download and print the application form.
