WHAT IS NIFT? 

NIFT stands for the National Institute of Fashion Technology was established in the year 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. NIFT is a expert Institution in fashion education which provide integrate knowledge, traditional arts, contemporary thought, academic freedom, innovations in design and technology and creative thinking. NIFT, today, has spread its wings across the length and breadth of the country with its 17 campuses all over India.

Important dates for NIFT entrance 2023

• NIFT 2023 application form release on- November 1, 2022
• Last date to apply (without late fees)- December 31, 2022
• Last date to apply (with late fees)- First week of January 2023
• Admit card will be given on- Third week of January 2023
• NIFT exam (GAT and CAT) - February 5, 2023
• Result declaration for both B. FTech and B. Des- Second week of March 2023
• online registration for NIFT situation test will start on- Third week of March 2023
• Admit card for NIFT situation test- Third week of March 2023
• Situation Test/ Group Discussion/ Interview round will be on- First week of April 2023
• NIFT final result- Third week of May 2023
  

How to apply for NIFT entrance 2023:

Step1. Visti the official website of NIFT. 
Step2. Create your own log in ID with the following details- 

• Name
• Date of Birth
• Email ID
• Select Program Type and Programme
• Select Category and PwD status 

Step3. Log in into that site with your newly made log in ID and password. And you will get to see the application form. 
Step4. Fill up the application formform with following details, such as-

• Test center - The candidate will have to select the test center (city) from the drop-down menu.
• Personal information - including the name of one's parents, gender, nationality, domicile, etc.
• Address for correspondence.
• Academic Qualification

Step5. Upload required documents such as passport size photo, signature and results. 
Step6. Most vital step is the pay application fees. For general or OBC the fees is 3000 and for ST/SC/PwD the fee is 1500.
Step7. After payment is being done, the application process will be completed. And take a print out of the form.
