Begin your portfolio preparation well in advance of the application deadlines. Starting at least 6-12 months before the application deadlines is a good rule of thumb. This gives you ample time to create, revise, and refine your work.

First, research the specific requirements of the colleges you intend to apply to. Different colleges may have varying guidelines for portfolio submissions. Make note of their requirements, such as the number of pieces, size limitations, and content expectations.

NATA, or National aptitude test of architecture, is an admission exam administered by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA), India's architectural commission.
