Now assuming you are eligible as per the above set criteria, let us discuss about the Portfolio.
1. Make the best effort to first comprehend what interaction design is. Create your own definition after reading about it and viewing student portfolios from other schools as well as NID. Students that have their own interpretations of the disciplines they are studying are encouraged by NID.
2. When you're ready, review your own work to determine what fits. It's difficult to provide a more detailed response because you haven't specified your background, but you don't need to completely stray from your current portfolio; instead, you need to build on it. Making brand-new projects from scratch specifically for your NID portfolio is completely acceptable. The idea must be original to you and not plagiarized from the internet; this is crucial.
So now what fields your portfolio should cover, as per your background in graduation. But Still I will give you generic Idea.
1. Electronics – Arduino projects should be great, as they are open-source electronic platforms with easy to use Hardware and software. Internet is full of Projects, check them out.
2. UI /UX – User Interface and User Experience, is also a good option, as it is trending and taking on as Apps and websites.
3. Product Design – Here you can showcase a particular products functionality, ergonomics, and User-Product-Interaction, as Human – Product – Interaction is a prominent factor in Interaction Design.
4. Graphic Design – Skills are always sought – after to you may make it through the Portfolio showcase round with your graphic design skills as well if they are impressive and innovative and explanatory enough.
