According to the UCEED test pattern 2024, there is negative marking in several portions of Part A. Check out the chart above for additional information.

The UCEED Part A test paper will have three sections of questions:
Section 1 consists of 18 questions with Numerical Answer Type (NAT) answers (four marks each; no negative marking). The answer to these questions is a number value that must be typed into the computer screen's virtual keyboard. There will be no viable options for these inquiries.

Section 2 will have 18 Multiple Select Questions (MSQ). Each MSQ may have one, several, or all of the correct answers from the four possibilities offered. The following is the scoring system:
• Full Marks: +4 If only the proper decision(s) is(are) made and NO WRONG DECISION(S) IS(ARE) MADE.
• Partial Marks: + 3 if just three of the four options are chosen and none are erroneous, even if all four are correct.
• Partial Marks: + 2 if NONE of the erroneous alternatives are chosen, but ONLY TWO correct options are chosen out of three or more correct options.
• Partial Marks: + 1 if NONE of the incorrect alternatives are chosen and TWO or MORE correct options are chosen, but ONLY ONE correct option is chosen.
• Zero Marks: 0 if none of the options are selected, leave the question open-ended.
• Negative Marks: -1 in all other cases.
