Admissions Open for 2026–30 Cohort

  • BITS Design School (a constituent of BITS Pilani) has officially opened applications for its four-year Bachelor of Design (Honours) programme for the 2026–30 batch.
  • The school aims to admit 180 students for this intake.
  • Applicants may apply via a valid score in one of the following: NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims, UCEED, or the newly introduced BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT).

Important Deadlines & Schedule

  • Last date to apply: February 1, 2026.
  • BITSDAT will be conducted between March 31 and April 5, 2026.
  • Portal to upload scores opens April 8 to April 12, 2026.
  • Shortlist of candidates to be announced on April 16, 2026.
  • Design portfolios are to be uploaded between April 16–20, 2026, followed by online interviews from May 2–12, 2026.
  • Final results to be declared on May 18, 2026.

Selection Path & Eligibility

  • Candidates from all academic streams — Science, Commerce, Arts — and from boards like CBSE, ISC, State Boards, IB/IGCSE are eligible.
  • The pathways of specialisation offered in this programme include: Physical Product Design, Digital Product Design (UI/UX), Design Research & Insights, Experience Design, and Visual Design.
